The device, priced at $230, represents a limited-run collaboration with keyboard manufacturer Work Louder. It mirrors the design of the existing Creator Micro 2, featuring an array of 13 mechanical switches, a joystick, a dial, and a touch sensor. While the partnership aims to provide developers with tangible feedback for their software agents, OpenAI has not disclosed the total number of units available for purchase through Supply Co.
Work Louder cofounder Mike Di Genova explained that the device integrates visual cues to track workflows. Six frosted keys display the status of active threads, using color-coded light indicators to signal if a task is running, complete, or requires user feedback. Beyond monitoring, the pad includes command keys for common actions such as push-to-talk, accepting code changes, and sending requests. The package ships with 32 custom keycaps featuring Codex-specific icons to further assist in agent management.
