Google preps Pixel Tag to challenge Apple’s AirTag

The device appeared in a Slovenian store listing, which describes a compact, durable unit equipped with an onboard speaker for proximity alerts. By utilizing the Find Hub network—formerly known as Find My Device—the tracker aims to provide location tracking for keys, luggage, and other personal items. While Google has remained silent on the hardware, the discovery follows earlier mentions of the accessory in internal Pixel 11 documentation.

This potential release coincides with a crowded product roadmap for the upcoming event, which is already expected to feature new foldables, smartwatches, and earbuds. Until now, the tracker existed only as a reference in early listings, but the emergence of specific product descriptions suggests a formal announcement may be imminent. Google did not respond to requests for comment regarding the leak.
