The company’s dominance is anchored by its data center division, which reported a record $89 billion in revenue, more than doubling its performance year-over-year. Overall profits followed a similar trajectory, climbing to $59.7 billion. While the firm nears the revenue heights typically reserved for industry titans like Amazon, Apple, and Alphabet, its traditional consumer segments face a more complex environment.
Nvidia’s edge computing category, which houses its gaming business, contributed $7.2 billion to the total. Despite a 27 percent year-over-year increase, the company noted that consumer PC sales are being stifled by elevated memory and systems costs. These component shortages, which continue to inflate the price of consumer GPUs, are now being compounded by warnings of impending price hikes for the company's high-demand AI chips.
