Vontobel Recruits Emmanuel Archampong to Lead Insurance Expansion

Archampong arrives at Vontobel from Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where he previously served as head of sales for UK institutional and insurance clients. His career includes senior tenures at JP Morgan Asset Management, Royal London Asset Management, and Wells Fargo Asset Management. In his new capacity, he will leverage the firm’s fixed income, private markets, and specialist expertise to construct bespoke investment strategies for insurance providers.

This appointment coincides with a period of financial growth for the Zurich-based asset manager. In July, Vontobel reported a net profit of SFr216 million for the first half of 2026, marking an 87 percent increase compared to the previous year. With assets under management reaching SFr252.2 billion as of 30 June 2026, the firm is intensifying its focus on the intersection of wealth management and insurance structures.
