The update, which arrived Tuesday alongside new Apple Music AI playlists and concert discovery tools, follows months of regulatory scrutiny regarding digital safety. While beta testers previously encountered warnings suggesting that age verification would be mandatory for downloading or purchasing apps, Apple spokesperson Peter Ajemian later clarified that those specific prompts were displayed in error.

The agency characterized the implementation as a significant victory for child protection, marking a proactive shift in how the tech giant manages user accounts within the British market.
