Meta Integrates Muse AI into Ray-Ban Smart Glasses

The integration arrives alongside a broader suite of hardware and software updates for the Meta Ray-Ban wearable. Among the most significant additions is an FDA-cleared hearing enhancement feature designed for adults experiencing mild to moderate hearing loss, expected to roll out later this year. Meta is also refining its AI capabilities to provide richer environmental context, a move aimed at assisting blind and low-vision users in interpreting their surroundings more accurately.

Multimedia capabilities are receiving a boost as well. A new Dolby Atmos Capture tool enables the recording of 360-degree spatial audio, while the Dynamic Photo feature utilizes AI to analyze multiple frames from a single capture, suggesting the most composed shot. Furthermore, the glasses will adopt the 'Hologram' feature previously announced for Meta’s VR hardware, allowing users to project a photorealistic digital avatar that mirrors their facial expressions during video calls.
