The camera supports 30 fps electronic shutter bursts—including a pre-capture feature—and maintains a mechanical shutter capable of 15 fps, an inclusion that notably outpaces the rival Canon EOS R8 Mark II.

Cost-cutting measures are evident in the physical interface. The 3.2-inch articulated screen resolution drops from 2.1 million to 1.04 million dots, and the camera relies entirely on a rear LCD since the electronic viewfinder was omitted. Professional redundancy is also limited; the device features a single UHS-II SD card slot rather than dual slots. Finally, the dedicated joystick is absent, requiring users to navigate focus points and menus through a standard multi-directional controller.
