The redesign marks a shift toward a more modern look, aligning Firefox's visual identity with current browser trends. Beyond the structural changes to tabs and icons, users gain access to an expanded library of customization options. These include a dozen new color themes, each available in both light and dark modes, alongside a variety of wallpapers designed to personalize the browsing experience.

This update follows a string of recent functional additions, including home page widgets, Split View, and integrated VPN tools. While Mozilla continues to refine its interface, the company remains active in the artificial intelligence space, recently debuting its Smart Window AI mode. By smoothing its UI elements, Firefox now bears a closer resemblance to Google Chrome, though Mozilla maintains that these visual modifications are strictly a cosmetic renewal rather than a functional overhaul.
