The base Galaxy S26 with 256GB of storage now retails for $999, up from $899. This shift follows a trend of hardware cost inflation, as Samsung previously cited rising RAM prices as a primary driver for earlier increases. The impact is most significant on the high-end tier; the 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra has jumped $200, reaching a total of $1,999 on the company's official website.
While the S26 FE remains at its $699 entry point, industry analysts note this figure itself sits above the S25 FE's launch price, despite the hardware remaining largely unchanged. Samsung is not alone in this strategy, as both Apple and Google have similarly adjusted their flagship pricing this year to account for shifting supply chain expenses.
