Capital Group Enters Active ETF Market on NYSE

Capital Group has officially expanded its portfolio by launching six active exchange-traded funds on the New York Stock Exchange. Moving beyond its traditional investment structures, the global firm is betting on a model where managers actively dictate portfolio allocations rather than simply tracking market indices.

The new lineup includes four equity-focused strategies alongside a fixed income core plus income product. Investors can now access the Capital Group Growth ETF (CGGR), Capital Group Core Equity ETF (CGUS), Capital Group Dividend Value ETF (CGDV), Capital Group International Focus Equity ETF (CGXU), Capital Group Global Growth Equity ETF (CGGO), and the Capital Group Core Plus Income ETF (CGCP).

While the ETF market has historically been dominated by passive index-tracking funds, Capital Group views the shift toward active management as a critical evolution. Tim Armour, chairman and CEO of the firm, described the move as a transformative step for the industry. He stated that the firm intends to position itself as a leader in this space, focusing on products designed to deliver superior long-term results for clients.
