The exposed dataset contains sensitive information from individuals who interacted with the platform, including some who never finalized their account registration. Victims confirmed the accuracy of the leaked details to reporters, highlighting the breadth of the unauthorized access. Among those affected is Eric Brunnett, the chief information technology officer at The Trump Organization, whose data was reportedly part of the compromised cache.
Responsibility for the incident lies with the BYOD collective, which claims to have bypassed security through a remote access trojan deployed against an employee of Liberty Mobile. Because Liberty Mobile serves as the underlying carrier for the Trump Mobile network, this vector granted the attackers access to the primary service infrastructure. Beyond the subscriber data, the group asserts it maintains ongoing access to the backend of the Trump Mobile website. Representatives for Trump Mobile did not provide a comment regarding the status of the breach or potential mitigation efforts.
