The Surface Laptop Ultra replaces the proprietary Surface Connect port with magnetic USB-C charging, marking a hardware design departure for the series. The base model ships with an 8-core CPU, 24GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. Alongside the laptop, Microsoft introduced the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, a mini PC targeting developers, priced at $5,999 and scheduled to ship in November.
Software enhancements accompany the hardware rollout under the banner of "Hybrid Intelligence." These Windows updates allow Copilot to access local files to execute user tasks, while a redesigned search interface introduces quick-action functionality directly from the search bar.
