The Nook stands out as the most compelling entry point, offering a compact design that is particularly effective at deterring squirrels. Its smaller footprint and tray configuration make it difficult for pests to balance, providing a clear advantage for those tired of backyard drama. While the flagship Home model offers a larger six-cup capacity and dual solar panels for a more hands-off experience, the Nook’s price and performance ratio make it the superior all-rounder for most users.
Technically, the new camera hardware introduces a trade-off. Users gain a 135-degree wide-angle landscape mode and significantly faster livestream wake-up times—often under eight seconds compared to thirty on the older Pro. However, the image resolution and color vibrancy have dipped slightly. The new portrait mode also features a narrower field of view, which can occasionally crop out a bird’s face if it lands near the edge of the tray. Despite these minor compromises, the transition to faster 2.4 GHz connectivity and improved battery longevity makes both new models more reliable daily companions for bird enthusiasts.
