Insta360 Expands Wireless Mic Lineup with $250 Model

The new hardware retains the signature 1.22-inch E Ink display found on the Pro model, allowing users to customize the transmitter face with logos or colors to match their clothing. While the Pro version commands a $329.99 price tag, the standard Mic achieves its lower cost by stripping away the built-in 32GB storage and the three-mic system. Instead, users must rely on an omnidirectional pickup pattern and install their own microSD cards for backup recording.

Despite these changes, the device gains in efficiency. The transmitters weigh in at 19.4 grams—slightly lighter than the Pro—and battery performance sees a notable jump from 10 to 13 hours on a single charge. When paired with the included charging case, total runtime reaches 34 hours. Connectivity remains robust, offering a 400-meter range when used with the dedicated receiver or a direct Bluetooth link to cameras like the X6, X5, and Luna Ultra.
