Mozilla upgrades Firefox Smart Window with AI form and monitor tools

The new form-filling tool activates when users click into web forms containing at least four text fields. Selecting the "Fill from sources" option allows the browser to pull context directly from your active tabs, such as an online portfolio or LinkedIn profile, to generate relevant suggestions. While currently limited to text fields, developers are actively expanding compatibility to include dropdown menus and PDF documents. Mozilla confirms that data processed during this task is shared with Google’s Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite to generate the required text.

Beyond data entry, users can now deploy the "/watch" command within the Smart Window chat to track specific websites for sales or job listings. By defining parameters and target pages, the browser performs daily or weekly checks while the application remains open. When a tracked change is detected, a notification appears via the toolbar or a system-level desktop alert.
