Janus Henderson and Man Group Expand European ETF Offerings

Janus Henderson Investors and Man Group are scaling their European presence with new active exchange-traded funds listed on the London Stock Exchange. These moves reflect a broader industry shift as major asset managers translate institutional-grade strategies into liquid, transparent structures tailored for wealth advisors and their clients.

Janus Henderson and Man Group Expand European ETF Offerings

Janus Henderson has introduced the China Equity Active Core UCITS ETF, managed by Benjamin Wang, Zoey Zhu, and Victoria Mio. The fund targets a portfolio of 100 to 150 Chinese companies, utilizing a strategy that blends fundamental research with quantitative construction. Mio noted that current market valuations in the region are particularly attractive, providing ample room for active managers to capture growth from structural transformations.

Simultaneously, Man Group has debuted its first UCITS ETFs in Europe: the Man Active Trend Enhanced UCITS ETF and the Man Active Global Infrastructure UCITS ETF. These funds are now trading on the London Stock Exchange, Euronext Milan, and Xetra. The trend-following strategy, managed by Russell Korgaonkar and Giuliana Bordigoni, aims to balance equity market participation with downside protection via futures. Meanwhile, the infrastructure fund, managed by Al Chu, applies the firm’s existing institutional investment philosophy to global listed infrastructure assets. Mark Bedford, global head of wealth at Man Group, described the launch as a foundational step in expanding the firm’s European footprint by offering institutional rigor within an accessible ETF framework.
