ElevenLabs adds direct publishing of AI music to SoundCloud

ElevenLabs users can now publish music made with its ElevenMusic platform directly to SoundCloud, the audio AI company said Thursday. The deal pairs a creation tool with a streaming platform as services take different approaches to AI-generated tracks, from integrations to filtering and bans.

SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers will receive three months of ElevenMusic Pro. The subscription allows users to generate up to 1,000 songs, split stem files 500 times, and use five custom styles or vocals per month.

ElevenLabs released its first music-generation model in 2025, followed by a consumer app for making songs from prompts in April 2026. A month later, it introduced a model that can switch genres mid-track and handle more complex vocals. The company said users have created more than 25 million tracks with its models.

SoundCloud has also partnered with AI music company Moises, allowing artists to export and import songs to and from the platform. It has integrations with Google Flow Music and music remix platform Hook. “SoundCloud has always been a place where artists experiment, push boundaries, and turn creative ideas into something bigger,” CEO Eliah Seton said in a statement. He said the ElevenMusic integration would let artists share creations with fans beyond ElevenLabs’ own ecosystem.

ElevenLabs also works with Spotify, where authors can use its audio models to narrate audiobooks for publication on the service. Spotify has signed label partnerships for AI remixing products but has not announced model partners such as ElevenLabs. Other streaming services are emphasizing controls or restrictions: Deezer is introducing a toggle to filter out AI music, Bandcamp has banned AI-generated tracks, and Spotify and YouTube have taken a more cautious approach to labeling them.
