This construction allows the chain to remain flexible enough to wrap around a seat post, providing a balance between portability and theft resistance. Beyond the physical build, the lock integrates a Bluetooth-enabled proximity sensor and a motion-sensitive alarm, specifically engineered to withstand environmental extremes including rain, dust, and significant temperature swings.

While the lock earns an ART-2 certification—a key requirement for many insurance policies—the user experience remains a mixed bag. Sharing access with friends and family via the digital platform offers clear utility for urban riders who secure their bikes multiple times a day. However, the lack of a modern USB-C charging port and the presence of intrusive operating sounds detract from the premium feel.
