Odysseus: The Fall is a dismal failure for AI cinema

Ash Koosha, cofounder of Fountain 0, wrote, directed, and provided his own likeness for the title character, while also composing the entire score. Despite the studio’s previous entry into the Tribeca Film Festival with the short Dreams of Violets, this latest feature collapses under its own ambition. The production lacks the narrative cohesion or visual fidelity required to justify its length, leaving viewers to endure a disjointed slog that threatens to sour interest in the source material itself.

Accessing the film is as frustrating as watching it. Priced at $9.99 for a digital rental, the movie is restricted to web browsers. Attempting to move the experience from a small screen to a living room television requires cumbersome workarounds like screen mirroring, a far cry from the immersive quality promised by the studio’s bold marketing. Rather than signaling a new era for cinema, the project highlights the significant chasm between technical novelty and actual storytelling.
