Google Launches Googlebook Lineup with Five Premium Models

The initial hardware rollout features varied configurations, with Acer leading the pack via its Googlebook 14. As the only 2-in-1 convertible in the current cohort, the device offers a 14-inch 2.8K display and claims up to 16 hours of battery life. While its $899 entry point is currently the lowest in the series, Acer representatives noted this is a limited-time launch price. Future adjustments remain possible due to fluctuating component supplies and broader market pressures affecting the laptop industry.

Beyond the hardware, Google is bundling each purchase with a 12-month subscription to Google AI Pro, which includes 5TB of cloud storage. Users also receive three-month trials for Adobe Photoshop, YouTube Premium, and CapCut. Internally, the Acer model utilizes Intel Core Ultra 5 or Ultra 7 processors paired with 16GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 512GB, setting a performance baseline for the new Googlebook ecosystem.
