The model represents a technical evolution from the Argon version released earlier this month. While currently restricted to a specialized group of cybersecurity defense firms, Google plans to broaden access through its Fairwind Program. Engineers report that Carbon excels at complex, multi-step tasks, maintaining performance over extended durations and resisting common prompt injection attempts.
Beyond defensive utility, Carbon targets increased reliability by halving the rate of unsupported claims compared to its predecessor. The company has set the pricing at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, matching the introductory rate of the Argon model.
