TCL Updates NXTPaper Lineup with 70 Pro Smartphone and Note A1 Tablet

The 70 Pro features a 6.9-inch NXTPaper 4.0 screen designed to mimic the tactile feel of physical paper. Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. TCL has also integrated a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, marking a performance shift from the entry-level hardware seen in the US-released 60 XE. While official domestic pricing remains unconfirmed, a European launch price of €339 suggests a premium over its predecessor.

The device retains the signature Max Ink Mode, a software environment that strips away interface clutter to prioritize focus. Beyond the smartphone, TCL is targeting the productivity market with the Note A1, an 11.5-inch device tailored for handwriting and organization. By stripping away the Google Play Store and restricting functionality to a curated selection of apps like Edge and Outlook, TCL is positioning the hardware as a direct competitor to dedicated e-ink note-taking tablets. Users capture content through a proprietary interface that saves information directly to an "Inspiration Space."
