Elizabeth Hogbin joins the firm on September 30 as head of global product, transitioning from a similar role at T. Rowe Price to oversee the commercialization and governance of the firm’s investment platform. Simultaneously, Rene Buehlmann steps in on September 21 to lead the Asia-Pacific business. Bringing over 35 years of industry experience, including a tenure as global CEO of Aberdeen Investments, Buehlmann will manage regional operations from bases in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Patrick O’Connor, who spearheaded the growth of the firm’s ETF business to more than $75 billion in assets, will shift to vice chairman of the Global Client Group. In this new capacity, he will focus on expanding the firm's ETF footprint across Japan, Greater China, Korea, Taiwan, and India. These appointments, overseen by co-president Daniel Gamba, aim to unify the firm’s product organization and better serve institutional clients seeking access to both public and private markets.
